Small Groups

You are gifted by God to serve others in the body of Christ. 

1 Corinthians 12 and other Bible passages teach us that God places members in each church and gives them personal talents, skills, and knowledge to contribute to the work of the church. So… for a church to be effective there must be opportunity for all members to use their skills.

Here at SFBC, we seek to equip you and help you as you develop and grow as a follower of Christ.  We hope each of our members will serve in at least one Small Group ministry team, and then volunteer in that ministry and one or two others.  There are levels of service for every interest and maturity level.  That's includes you!  We ask that you serve in areas where we have need and where you have a God-inspired passion. Look below and find some areas where you have passions and expertise and contact the Group Leader today.  Before you get scared about how much time this will take, we are only talking about 1-3 hours per week.  Much of this service can even be done during times you planned to be here anyway. The groups meet at 10AM on Sundays. Right now we have three groups:

 

Hospitality, Outreach, and Worship – Leader: Larry Jones

Operations (Missions, Children’s Home, Buildings, Maintenance, and Finance) – Leader: Michael Barnes

Education (Children, Youth, and General Adult Class) – Leader: Daniel Speer

We also have an Adult Bible Class during the 10AM hour.

 

Youth Ministry

Our youth group meets for Sunday School and Wednesday night services. The group is taught by our youth pastor, Michael Barnes. They have regular times of activity and learning to help bring the teens closer to God.

 

 

 

 

 

Childrens Ministry

Our children at Santa Fe Baptist Church are ministered to by a group of dedicated men and women. We provide Sunday School for all ages, and Children's Church for ages 2-8.

      

 

Children's Church is offered every Sunday morning during the normal worship service. There are also lessons and activities for our children during Wednesday night prayer service.

      

 

 

 

We also provide nursery care for children who are under 2. Our nursery ministry includes safety policies intended to keep our smallest ones safe and secure.
